Madrid Space and Nanoker are the winners of the Go2Space-HUBs DemoDay Madrid. Congratulations!

The Go2Space-HUBs DemoDay Madrid evaluation meeting took place last Tuesday, under the criteria of management experience, product and technology merit, market potential, go to market, strategy competitive position, presentation quality and business model clarity and credibility.

We are glad to announce that the winners are: in first place Madrid Space, specialized in thermal systems engineering; and in second place Nanoker, developer and manufacturer of advanced technical and composite ceramic and metal ceramic products & solutions.

The #Go2SpaceDemoDay HUB Madrid Jury:

The jury has been composed of Beatriz González, ESA BIC Madrid Region Manager, Teresa Barber, Tech Tour Business Development & Project Lead and Carlos Romero, Madrid Aerospace Cluster Managing Director.

The prizes consist of:

AED Days 2021

Go2Space-HUBs will support our attendants in the AED DAYS 2021 to get free passes facilitated by the Enterprise Europe Network.

The 8th edition of the Portuguese Aeronautics, Space and Defence Cluster’s main event will be held digitallybetween 28th September and 1st October.

AED Cluster Portugal will bring together, once again, the entire national ecosystem of the Aeronautics, Space and Defence sectors along with the main international stakeholders, with the purpose to: debate current and future challenges for the ASD sectors, in Portugal and in the world; seek partnerships and business opportunities; energise the Industry-Academia relations and the HR ecosystem, exploring employment opportunities and other challenges.

The Go2Space-HUBs start-ups Waterjade by MobiGIS and Nanoker Research, winners of the STARTUP OLÉ 2021 Pitch Competition in the Space and Energy categories. Congratulations!

Last week took place the 7th edition of Startup Olé, one of the largest business technology events in Europe.

More than 210 start-ups, 400 speakers, 35 corporates and investors from 44 nationalities, took part in this edition, which was attended by the European Commissioner for Innovation Ms. Mariya Gabriel, and the Spanish Secretary of State for Digitization and Artificial Intelligence, Carme Artigas.

Startup OLÉ has ​​become a great international platform that brings together all kinds of representatives of the entrepreneurial ecosystem who, especially in recent years, collaborate and co-create with the aim of providing solutions to the new challenges that arise, supporting the construction of a society with a greater degree of digitization, decarbonization, sustainability and justice.

Go2Space-HUBs was the leader of the Startup Olé ‘Space vertical’, coordinated by Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and our accelerated start-ups had the opportunity of presenting their projects to investors, corporates and other potential partners.

The Go2Space-HUBs accelerated start-ups Nanoker Research -new materials for aerospace- and Waterjade by MobiGIS -digital solutions for optimization of water abstraction for industrial applications- were the winners of the the Startup Olé 2021 Pitch Competition in the Space and Energy categories.

The Go2Space-HUBs project has organized a webinar series about the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator that provides financial support to SMEs & start-ups. If you couldn’t attend our info sessions & workshops, find below the videos.

The European Innovation Council  (EIC), has been established under the EU Horizon Europe programme. It has a budget of €10.1 billion to support game changing innovations throughout the lifecycle from early stage research, to proof of concept, technology transfer, and the financing and scale up of start-ups and SMEs.

The EIC Accelerator supports individual Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), in particular Startups and spinout companies to develop and scaleup game-changing innovations. In some cases small mid-caps (up to 500 employees) are supported.

The EIC Accelerator provides substantial financial support with:

  • grant funding (non-dilutive) of up to €2.5 million for innovation development costs,
  • investments (direct equity investments) of up to €15 million managed by the EIC Fund for scale up and other relevant costs.

In addition, EIC selected companies receive coaching, mentoring, access to investors and corporates, and many other opportunities as part of the EIC community.

Go2Space-HUBs at the MWC 2021

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) is the annual event for excellence dedicated to the world of technology and communications. For years it has been the benchmark event in the sector where companies take the opportunity to present their most cutting-edge advances in all kind of technologies: Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Drones and all kinds of software and hardware.

Experts, companies and startups on connectivity, innovation, industry, IoT … met at this event, and Go2Space-HUBs was there with some of our HUB Madrid Acceleration Program start-ups: ForaHydra-SpaceActionTrackerConstrack (by Starlab) and SpaceSur.

Go2Space-HUBs: 2021 UIIC Award Winner

The University-Industry Interaction Conference (UIIC) is the annual conference of the University Industry Innovation Network (UIIN), which brings together up to 1000 managers, practitioners and researchers in the field of entrepreneurial universities, collaborative innovation and university-industry interaction each year.

For the first time this year, all accepted contributions qualified for the 2021 UIIN Awards around excellent research, best practices and case studies in university-industry interaction.

Go2Space-HUBs project has been selected by the UIIC international scientific and practitioner committees as experience of strengthening local ecosystems through international cooperation and use case of the SMEBook.

The Open Innovation Platform SMEBook allows technological companies and their employees connect and exchange resources & information. It provides a matchmaking algorithm capable of recommending partnerships according to needs and interests.
