Go2Space-HUBs collaborates in the organization of the NSE – New Space Economy 2020 Virtual Brokerage Event

The project Go2Space-HUBs collaborates in the organization of the NSE – New Space Economy 2020 Virtual Brokerage Event within the wider programme of activities of NSE ExpoForum 2020 organized by the National Research Council of Italy and the Enterprise Europe Network.

NSE Brokerage Event is addressed to at all public and private actors willing to contribute, sharing Know-how, showcasing their products and technologies, offering a disruptive vision and contribution to the development of the New Space Economy.

A Virtual Brokerage Event is a quick and easy way to meet potential cooperation partners in online/virtual talks via B2Match. Bilateral meetings last 20 minutes. 20 minutes run fast, but it’s enough to introduce yourself to new business partners and start a constructive dialogue with them.

NSE Brokerage Event is addressed to:

SMEs, Incubators, Universities, Startups, Investors, Venture Capital, Trade Associations, Institutions, Research Centers and Space Agencies.

Registration in 5 steps!

Participation in the NSE Brokerage Event is free of charge, but registration is compulsory. Participants need to register with profiles in English language:

1) Registration: Register via the green Registration button on the “Home” page. If you are a Spanish participant, please select “ES Madrid Network Association” as Support Office in order to monitor the Go2Space HUBs attendants.

2) Publish a business profile to showcase your needs: Create a strong profile which will raise your visibility to others on this platform. Your profile should be clear and concise.

3) Browse profiles of attendees: Browse published participants profiles and send meeting requests to those you want to meet at the event.

4) Send & receive meeting requests: Choose the participants you want to meet and Click on “meet”.
Incoming meeting requests have to be accepted by the recipients otherwise they can’t be scheduled.

5) Brokerage Event Day: Short before the day of the virtual event you will receive your meeting schedule “Agenda” by email. The day of the event, click the green button “Start meeting” to join the 1:1 meeting Video Call.

Demo Day – HUB Madrid. Stay tuned!

The HUB Madrid DemoDay will take place online in  2021. The companies participating in the first edition of the Acceleration program will present their projects to potential investors and other collaboration partners.

The regional and European investment community will have a strong presence at the Go2Space-HUBs DemoDays.

The DemoDay Acceleration Prize will consist of 6.000€  and personalized services for the winning start-up including: experts advice and assessments related to Intellectual Property Rights, legal, financial and internationalization.

Webinar: ‘DIAS, the platforms for open access to Copernicus data & information’

Go2Space-HUB Madrid invites you to attend this free webinar in which we will thoroughly explain the DIAS platforms next December 10, 16:00 CET.

To facilitate and standardise access to data, the European Commission has funded the deployment of five cloud-based platforms providing centralised access to Copernicus data and information, as well as to processing tools. These platforms are known as the DIAS, or Data and Information Access Services.

‘Our Watch Leads’ and ‘Staruplo’ win the Portuguese edition of Act in Space 2020

This year in 61 cities all over the 5 continents, more than 3500 participants were hacking the planet powered by Space.

Go2Space-HUBs collaborated with ActInSpace and Portugal was not left behind, almost 50 participants spread across the country were working hard day and night powered by IPN Go2Space-HUBs (Coimbra), powering not just prizes, but also providing technical support and assistance through experts availability and dedication.

The ‘Our Watch Leads’ (O.W.L.), an app based on citizen active contribution combined with EO data to fight climate change within green spaces) and ‘Staruplo’, a solution to fight climate change, focused on the detection and monitoring of methane emission sources, had to share the podium and took Go2Space-HUBs prize home: 6000 euros in services to accelerate their business.

The teams ‘To the Potatoes and Beyond‘ and ‘STARSQUAD‘  excelled by their originality, and took home special honour/prizes, they will receive a Go2Space-HUBs special kit.

The Go2Space-HUBs activities during 2020

2020 has been a very productive year for Go2Space-HUBs. The project kicked-off last December and, since then, we have participated at South Summit, Startup Olé, the International Aerospace Days or the Transfiere Forum, among others.

We have also collaborated with the international hackathon ActInSpace, and become partners or the Galileo Masters and Copernicus Masters.

Besides, we have organized three #InnovationDays and two hackathons, and our incubation and acceleration programs are running, but the best is yet to come…

The winner of the Estonian Space Hackathon makes the landing of drones in the city safer

At the ActInSpace International Business Ideas Estonia competition, which took place over the weekend, 50 space enthusiasts created new business solutions from existing space technologies within 24 hours.

The team LIGHTCODE won in the tense final fight of the competition in cooperation with the Go2Space-HUBs project.

Using the technology of the French Space Agency (CNES) in a new way, the winning team will make drone traffic in the city significantly safer.

The Space Investment Programme takes off!

Last Thursday, November 12th, took place the first webinar of the Space Investment Programme ‘Investment Landscape’, with Youssef Sabbah, Tech Tour Lead Innovation Manager.

Go2Space-HUBs collaborates with the Tech Tour Space Investment Programme, designed to help European start-ups developing tech solutions in the Space sector or developing applications based on satellite data to boost their investment readiness and build relations with investors.

The objective of these webinars is to improve the Investment Readiness of the companies that applied to the Space Investment Programme, touching different topics: Investment landscape for Space sector, the importance of the team on a start-up environment and the pitch in front of investors.

During this first webinar were presented the results of the study undertaken by Go2SpaceHubs “Understanding barriers, needs and facilitating factors for access to finance for space start-ups”.

ActInSpace’s Prizes in Spain: Madrid Go2Space-HUBs Award

A start-up/scale-up will benefit from participation in our Acceleration Program 2nd edition: 3 months with training sessions and mentoring.

This year the ActInSpace international business idea competition is taking place in Spain in cooperation with Go2Space HUBs on 13-14 November.

ActInSpace® is an international innovation contest inspiring young women and men worldwide to meet challenges based on space technologies, data, patents and infrastructures to launch start-ups into all areas of our daily lives.

The objective is to foster entrepreneurship, encourage start-up creation and promote the use of space technologies and space acquired data to change citizen’s lives, to boost employment and to protect our planet.
