Go2Space-HUBs at Startup Olé 2020
Go2Space-HUBs, have participated in the series of webinars organized by Startup Olé 2020, one of the most important events for technology entrepreneurs in Spain.
Go2Space-HUBs was represented by Gemma Villegas, from the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Service of the UC3M, and the managing director of Madrid Aerospace Cluster, Carlos Romero, partner of the project, who participated in the online seminar ‘Entrepreneurship and Space in Go2Space-HUBs: Calls for star-ups and mentors’.
The webinar, moderated by Emma Crespo, from UC3M’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Service, was focused on publicizing the opportunities that the Go2Space-HUBs represents for entrepreneurs in the space sector.
In this regard, Romero said that the main objective of the project is “to generate support services for space entrepreneurship similar to those that exist in other sectors.” And he added: “The goal of Go2Space-HUBs is to become a reference actor.”
Villegas explained that the project has three Hubs in Madrid, Coimbra (Portugal) and Tallin (Estonia) and: “From HUB Madrid we propose an acceleration program, we take care of supporting and accompanying companies of a certain degree of maturity that want to continue growing ”.
Go2Space Acceleration program
The first edition of the Go2Space-HUBs acceleration program will begin in September and, for 3 months, the selected companies will have access to extensive online training and individual mentoring on issues such as knowledge and adjustment to the space market, channels and opportunities. financing and strengthening of technological bases.
The program is aimed at entrepreneurs and start-ups working in the space sector in the areas of digitization, sustainable development goals, space technology, and defense and security.
