Universidad Carlos III de Madrid

Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) is a public university located in Madrid. Since 2009 UC3M has been a Campus of International Excellence, a qualification awarded by the Ministry of Education. In its relation with society, UC3M acts as catalyst for the innovative and entrepreneurial ecosystem of its surroundings, positively impacting economic and social development. Through UC3M SCIENCE PARK has extensive experience in project management, entrepreneurship supporting activities, technology-based start-up development and spinoff creation. UC3M has been an Incubator Centre of ESA BIC Madrid Region since 2015.

Instituto Pedro Nunes

Country: Portugal

Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) is a non-profit private organization which promotes innovation and the transfer of technology, establishing the interface between the scientific and technological environment and the industrial sector. Created in 1991 through an initiative of the University of Coimbra, IPN has currently a team of almost 100 permanent staff to support start-ups and researchers in these activities. With a self-sustained business model that gives the flexibility and capacity to accompany business sector needs, IPN operates in three complementary areas:

  1. Incubation and acceleration of technology-based enterprises activities.
  2. Research and technological development.
  3. Highly specialized training.

IPN is a ESA Space Solution Center since 2014. This ESA initiative aims to aggregate and enhance the results of ESA’s three technology transfer programs: the ESA Business Incubator Center (ESA BIC), the Technology Transfer Network (ESA Brokers) and the program ARTES.

Madrid Aerospace Cluster

Country: Spain

Madrid Aerospace Cluster was established by the Madrid Regional Government and other private innovative stakeholders in 2006, currently has over 75 associates including companies (major corporations as well as SME), universities and research centres. The entire aeronautical industry value chain is covered by members of the Madrid Aerospace Cluster. Likewise, companies working on space activities include satellite and equipment manufacturers as well as operators.

Additionally, cooperates with European clusters organisations, as the European Aerospace Cluster Partnership (EACP),  is also the representative of the Madrid Regional Authority in Network of European Regions Using Space Technologies (NEREUS), Copernicus Relay, and member of the European Network of Defence-related Regions (ENDR).

Technology Partners

Country: Poland

The Technology Partners Foundation is a scientific research and implementation organisation specialised in the performance of large-scale interdisciplinary national and international research projects. It is an Advanced Technology Centre, a status awarded by the Minister of Science in 2004.

Technology Partners has been participating in European projects for many years, performing both research projects, mainly related to materials engineering and aerospace, and support actions, working with SMEs and the research community. The members of the Technology Partners Consortium are industrial research institutes representing different disciplines and a potential of app. 1500 scientific research staff.

Europe Unlimited

Country: Belgium

Europe Unlimited (Brussels) together with its sister companies Tech Tour International (Geneva) and Tech Tour Global (Sofia), operating under the brand Tech Tour provides event and online matching platforms between emerging innovative companies, investors and partners across Europe and its regions, sectors and stages, presenting hundreds of high-tech entrepreneurial companies in many venture fora and partnering events across Europe to venture capital and corporate investors and partners to support innovation management of SMEs and to improve their investor-readiness and access to finance and markets.

Europe Unlimited has gradually developed its activities since 1998 and now has extensive capabilities, networks, competencies, databases, client relations allowing it to mobilise investors and innovative entrepreneurs across Europe through investment matching events and investment readiness programmes.

Tehnopol

Country: Estonia

Tallinn Science Park Tehnopol is the largest science and business park in the Baltics facilitating more than 350 technology companies. Tehnopol provides convenient infrastructure; business development services and business incubation services for high growth and export-oriented companies. Incubation services are branded as Startup Incubator which has been operational since 2003 and has worked with 240 companies to reach sustainable revenue phase or first seed-stage investment phase. The campus of Tehnopol facilitates Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) and IT College with more than 14 000 students and 3000 researchers, providing suitable conditions and a suitable environment for the realization of breakthrough business ideas.

Tehnopol Startup Incubator is the official representative of European Space Agency Business Incubation program, having having 15 space-tech track companies: 9 active companies in the portfolio and 6 that have completed the program successfully. Tehnopol is also providing supportive services for scale up companies in the areas of ICT, green- and health technologies.
